The Notebenders were formed in January of 2014 by lorri, ray, and jim. they performed weekly shows and jam sessions at rented halls and began the search for a venue to call their own. 

they finally found a home at the historic Tropic Theater in downtown Leesburg,Florida.

Lorri Gill

Hailing from South Dakota, this versatile entertainer brings her powerful and unique style to every show. Whether performing as Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton, or  her many other characters, Lorri puts on a great show.

Ray Gantek:


Born and raised in Connecticut, Ray started playing the bass guitar full-time at the age of 14 with his Dad's, and other country bands.    Ray has performed on thousands of radio and TV jingles, movie scores and record albums as well as playing the fiddle, banjo, mandolin and the harmonica.   


Jim Troxell:


 Jim started playing the bass in 1973.  After two years at Illinois State University, Jim ventured out on the road.  Performing with such varied artists as Bob Hope, Myron Floren, countless blues and jazz greats, and many current and past country stars has helped to hone his musical skill.  


Bob Battersby:


Bob has been playing drums and percussion for over 50 years. All types of performance groups form orchestras to marching bands, big band jazz to R&B.  Glad to be performing with Lorri Gill and The Notebenders FOR you!
